Join us in Cincinnati October 22-25, 2008

A national spotlight will shine on Ohio College Tech Prep and the Greater Cincinnati Tech Prep Consortium during the National Career Pathways Network Convention, October 22-25, 2008 at the Duke Energy Convention Center in Cincinnati.

This year’s theme is Connecting for Success: Building the Future Talent Pipeline. Conference sessions will support this theme and provide professional development topics for faculty, counselors, and administrators that are required by the 2006 Perkins Act.

Cincinnati Consortium Director Tim Nolan is coordinating local planning, in collaboration with the Ohio Department of Education and the Ohio Board of Regents.

Local assets such the Woodward Career Tech High School alliance with Cincinnati State, UC College of Applied Science and Allied Construction Industries will be featured.  College Tech Prep students will be involved as ambassadors, showcase presenters and panelists.

The convention includes the National Association for Tech Prep Leaders Annual Forum, National Science Foundation pre-conference, and career pathways training and certification for school counselors.

To offer input or discuss involvement, contact Tim Nolan at timothy.nolan@uc.edu.
