Junior Convocation 2007

Representatives from nine area colleges and more than 50 businesses came together September 7, 2007 to inspire College Tech Prep juniors to prepare for college and careers.  Almost 700 students attended the program at UC Raymond Walters College.

Frank Kick, celebrated author and nationally-recognized speaker, used humor and rapid delivery style to encourage the students to strive for excellence.  Panel discussions, interactive workshops, and a business and college fair linked the juniors to resources in their selected technology areas.  College faculty members and administrators spoke about college preparation while business leaders offered advice about employment opportunities and technology career preparation.
