College Tech Prep Scholarships
UC College of Applied Science
Recognizing its 180th anniversary, the College of Applied Science (CAS) of the University of Cincinnati will provide scholarships worth $1,000 across the academic year to as many as 180 entering freshmen. To be eligible for the 180th Anniversary Scholarships, incoming freshmen must:
- Be among the first 180 students enrolled in the college as a full-time student at the onset of the fall quarter of 2008
- Be admitted to any of the college’s baccalaureate degree programs
- Must remain in good academic standing throughout the academic year
Like the college’s other scholarships, the 180th Anniversary Scholarships are subject to UC policies and will be added to other scholarships and grants that a student may also receive. Miami University Hamilton
To be eligible for a scholarship, students must apply and be admitted to Miami University Hamilton:
- The university will waive the application fee for students who submit a letter stating they are currently enrolled in a Tech Prep program.
- The student must be coming FROM a Tech Prep program INTO a Tech Prep program major at Miami Hamilton.
- The student must complete a general scholarship application and return it by April 1, 2008, the deadline for new students. Students will be eligible for Tech Prep scholarships and other Miami Hamilton scholarships.

Miami University Middletown
Miami University Middletown awards vary from $500 to $4,000 depending on the number and academic credentials of applicants. To be considered for a scholarship, you must:
- Apply for admission to the Middletown Campus and complete the scholarship application by April 1, 2008. Application fees are waived for Tech Prep students.
- Enroll in a major related to your Tech Prep program.
- Have a minimum 2.7 grade point average, ACT of 20 or higher. A high GPA will qualify for larger awards.
- With the application, submit a one to two-page typed essay about your Tech Prep experience including your educational goal for college.
- Include a letter of recommendation from a non-relative.
Students must also complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid. The FAFSA can be completed online after Jan. 1 of your senior year.

UC Clermont College
The UC Clermont Scholarship Booklet/Application is now available online here.
Students should complete the application and return it before April 11, 2008 with two reference letters. Application instructions are outlined on page 4 of the application.
April 11, 2008 Cincinnati Scholarship Foundation
The foundation administers many different scholarship funds and makes awards to as many students as possible who meet fund requirements. Most of these scholarship funds are considered last dollar awards which cover a portion of the unmet needs after all other aid has been awarded.
To be considered for all CSF scholarships, you must complete a scholarship application and forward it with a copy of your most recent transcript by April 30. Complete the Free Application for Student Aid (FAFSA). Once you have decided which college or university you are attending, forward to the foundation a copy of your financial aid award letter and page 1 of the Student Aid Report (SAR). Applications must be submitted prior to the April 30 deadline, whether or not the financial aid notice or SAR has been received.

Cincinnati State Technical and Community College
A variety of scholarships are available to eligible College Tech students. Requirements include a 2.5 GPA, successful completion of the Tech Prep high school program, college-level competency score on one ACT Compass Test, two letters of recommendation, and an essay.
