Our Services
Ohio College Tech Prep Mission
We will prepare students for the high skill, high demand technical careers required for an increasingly complex global economy. We will emphasize math, science and technology for Ohio’s economic development.
A statewide network of Tech Prep consortia coordinates local program development. In southwest Ohio, the Greater Cincinnati Tech Prep Consortium addresses regional priorities related to:
Dual Credit/ Articulation
Every College Tech Prep program links directly to a college degree or certificate program. Specific details related to transfer requirements and benefits are defined in an articulation agreement. The consortium works with partners to create and maintain articulation agreements.
Professional Development
The consortium assists districts in enriching teacher skills, licensing career technical teachers and linking partners to national, state and local resources. Financial assistance is offered to educators to support and encourage professional development.
The consortium also supports the Ohio College Tech Prep Summer Academy, a three-day interactive experience that offers an introduction to the College Tech Prep initiative, its curriculum process, and instructional methods.
Academic Achievement
The consortium offers academic improvement programs to boost achievement in mathematics and science skills.
Student Support
Coordinated services prepare students for successful transition to college and career.
Program Review and Data
The consortium offers partners a process for program review and evaluation. Data that track students as they transition to college and career is used to evaluate program outcomes. The school and college partners examine information and propose improvement strategies.
