Outstanding Students 2008
was
Jon Tudor, Little Miami High School, has received the William H. Over award as the top student in the Greater Cincinnati Tech Prep Consortium.
Jon was one of more than 50 outstanding students, representing nine school districts, who were recognized at the annual Graduate Salute, a celebration of student achievement in high school technology programs throughout southwest Ohio.
Each student was nominated for recognition by a teacher or administrator. Scholastic achievement, program commitment, technical competency, overall enthusiasm, community service and leadership were considered.
Book awards and scholarships were presented to the students by business and college partners including: Duke Energy, Meridian Bioscience, Allied Construction Industries and the Kroger Company.
The Women’s Circuit awarded three $500 scholarships to outstanding female students: Molly Stancliff, Loveland High School; Katie Brown, Warren County Career Center and Heather Steele, Colerain Career Center.
Cincinnati State Techncial & Community College, UC College of Applied Science, Miami University Middletown also offered scholarships to Tech Prep students. Miami Hamilton, UC Raymond Walters College and UC Clermont College will soon announce additional scholarships.
