Enrolling in College Tech Prep
College
Tech Prep is ideal for students who:
- have a clear interest in a specific technology
- value experiential and collaborative learning
- who want to explore a career area prior to college commitment
- who appreciate relevant educational experiences
Enrolling in a Tech Prep program
Although some schools offer foundation classes in the 9th and 10th grades, students generally begin a College Tech Prep pathway in the 11th grade and continue through high school graduation and college. Programs are offered at career centers and some high schools.
Minimum academic requirements
- 2.0 grade point average
- completion of Algebra I with a "C" or better
- junior standing with no academic deficiencies
- 90% attendance rate
