About Us

Ohio Tech Prep has narrowed program focus and consolidated services to support curriculum linkages and college readiness.

Ohio’s 23 consortia have merged into six regions.  The southwest region encompasses high school and colleges served by the Greater Cincinnati Tech Prep Consortium, Miami Valley Tech Prep Consortium and Ohio South Tech Prep Consortium.

The center will support development of programs of study with articulation agreements and collaboration related to college-ready assessment and remediation.

Cincinnati State Technical and Community College is the fiscal agent, represented by Monica Posey, Ed.D., academic vice president at Cincinnati State. Karen Blocher, former director of the Greater Cincinnati Tech Prep Consortium and Ohio Tech Prep Technical Services, is chief administrative officer.  Rita Graf, former director of Ohio South Tech Prep Consortium is sub-regional coordinator for the Ohio South area. Terry Benedict, former assistant director of the Greater Cincinnati Tech Prep Consortium, is sub-regional coordinator for the Greater Cincinnati area.  A third coordinator will serve the Miami Valley area.
